I know I know I promised to write about my journey to sunny India!
It is in the works, but I have met so many wonderful people, experienced so many different things, sounds, sights and smells that I do not know where to start!
Suffice to say that I enjoyed my time there and wish I could go again!
A new post just published, after way too much reading.
Take care everyone :*

A light in the dark
You bring me out of the darkness
You make me smile and laugh, and blush
You listen and you look at me with bright eyes
You actually remember what we talked about before
You give me confidence and compliments
Even though it is not something I know
You tell me you like me, you tell me you enjoy spending time with me
We never run out of subjects to talk about
I can actually feel petite next to you
You like it when I "geek out" 'cause you do it too
You are honest and straightforward
You whisper in the night and cyber talk in the day
You show me that some things are worth fighting for
You are A New Hope

Baking
Hi everyone!
Just a quick post before I fly away to beautiful India :)
I just wanted to share this foolproof recipe for a quick and easy pie crust, ready to use straight away!
Ingredients:
310g flour (I use self-raising)
1/2 tsp salt
(a few tbsp of sugar if you're making a sweet pie)
125g soft butter, cut in small cubes
1 egg
1 to 1 1/2 tbsp milk or water (chilled)
Mix the dry ingredients first in a large mixing bowl. Add the butter all in one go (it has to be at room temperature, if straight from the fridge, soften it in the microwave for about 45 seconds on the lowest setting), then mix the two with your fingertips. Rub the butter in the flour until it resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
Add the egg to the flour-butter mixture until it is well combined. Add 1 tbsp of milk or water to bind the dough together. If needed, add another 1/2 tbsp of milk or water to retrieve the last crumbs at the bottom of your mixing bowl. Shape the dough into a ball.
Lightly flour your clean and dry workstation. Flatten your dough ball in between your palms to form a disc; put your dough on the workstation, then use a floured rolling pin to finish shaping your dough into the perfect circle of the required diameter, turning the dough over regularly.
That's you done, and it works every time!
Hope you're all having a great evening, and I shall write soon, with news of marvellous Mumbai :)
Lovingly yours :)

Hi again
Wooh, lots of posts in a short space of time.
Don't worry about its dark undertones, it just came to me earlier on today, while we were discussing zombies in movies of all things!
My muse is deserting me nowadays, but I hope I'll catch up to her soon.
Frigid nights have descended upon us, so may it be additional motivation to stay home and cosy up to my computer and get writing!!!
Faithfully.

Darkness comes
The Sun does not give out warmth any longer.
Its light is blinding, my head should be pounding, but I am impervious to all of it. My body remains stationary, my hands and feet are numb.
Suddenly, clouds cover the Sun. The light goes out, the sky darkens. The land goes still, and so am I.
Earth falls on my bed, falls until I cannot see anything anymore. For ever.

For you, all my thanks
I go along the walk of life on my own.
One day you came, and with a smile and a kind word, you kept me company.
Even if it can only be for a short while, I am glad we are walking it side-by-side.

A new life
Not exactly a new life per se, but just baby steps...
A new job started, with wonderful colleagues, witty banter, riveting discussions about Skyrim, childhood memories and worst experiences ever...
Holidays very much looked forward to, with a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Mumbai planned for November, to participate in beautiful wedding celebrations, meeting old (and very much missed) friends and new, beautiful sarees and other local dresses to be bought and worn...
A new life to start again, with a return home very soon, back to uni, student life, teacher training, spend more time with family and friends, for good...
Another few celebrations to look forward to, with another wedding to come very soon, in Summer 2014: another occasion to catch up with old friends, and wish the newlyweds-to-be the most wonderful life together...
And finally, the start of a commitment to spending some time writing this on a regular basis, to give news, updates and glimpses into my life, for those who are near or far...
Stay tuned for more soon!
Lovingly yours

Hi
Welcome to a new piece of me, for the few of you who will read this!
You'll find here various ramblings, more or less useful bits and pieces on a semi-not regular basis...
Special thanks to the bestest friend in the whole world, Mademoiselle KR, who made me want to create my own weblog. I won't have anything half as interesting as she does, but I hope you'll enjoy it anyway.
Post, comment, send links, rage, praise, rave... whatever strikes your fancy!
Lovingly yours
